NVC Train-the-Trainer

in the Living Energy of Needs Consciousness
A Seven-Day residential retreat

Lindors Country House - the venue

   We have noticed over the years that NVC practitioners can find themselves sharing Nonviolent Communication using the words of the process without a full connection to life energy.

   Often, this has resulted in a failure to get to a full connection with actual life energy of these qualities that we call 'needs.'

   We believe that this can result in a rather mechanical communication model rather than a true empathic connection.

flower  As a team we are wholly committed to supporting NVC practitioners who want to share NVC as an embodied, living practice of the "Living Energy of Needs" -- so you are invited to join us on this retreat which will offer a supportive and nurturing environment to learn how to share this wonderful work from the resonant connection with universal life energy.

Specifically, you will learn how to:

   • Live and teach NVC from full connection with the Living Energy of Needs;

   • Learn to teach NVC through 'being' it rather than 'doing' it;

   • Support and coach others using the NVC Dance Floor, 'Transforming the Pain of Unmet Needs to the Beauty of Needs';

   • Effectively share with others Living Energy of Needs practices, including the Transforming Pain process (our foundational process);

   • Integrate a range of facilitation approaches, and understand various dynamics of people being in a learning community;

   • Identify and transform whatever blocks you from full connection with the living energy of needs;

   • Use somatic and kinesthetic practices to increase effectiveness in sharing NVC, and enhance connection with life energy

Activities we are planning to include:

   CORE LIVING ENERGY OF NEEDS PROCESSES: Practicing and learning how to facilitate the core depth processes we teach.

   FACILITATOR SKILLS TRAINING: Participants practice facilitating groups and receive feedback ("facilitator hot seatseat exercise") with live coaching and feedback from the trainers.

   NVC GROUP DYNAMICS: Community meetings at the end of each afternoon when we all come back together to share our learnings and experiences. Participants will be involved in facilitating these meetings and will receive coaching and feedback from the trainers. Additionally, processes and games that support connection, engagement, intimacy and authenticity.

   TRAINER PRESENTATIONS: Practice presenting various aspects of NVC in a small group, and receive feedback from peers and trainers.

   TUTORIAL GROUPS: Be part of a small group that receives two, 1-hour tutoring sessions led by one of the trainers, focusing on topics of your choice.

   TRACKS:  Deepen and refine learning in a specific track with either an inner (inner peace, healing, early childhood work) or outer (creating a successful practice, financial abundance, and marketing) focus.

Who this training is for
   This training is designed for people who are offering NVC training in formal or semi-formal settings such as trainings, introductions, practice groups, coaching, etc.

   People who have joined us for this training in the past include certified trainers, certified trainer candidates, practice group facilitators, people who are sharing NVC in their organization or use NVC in their work as teachers, mediators, therapists, coaches, consultants or activists.

   We ask that each person who registers is familiar with the Living Energy of Needs approach to NVC.  If you are not yet familiar with this approach, we encourage you to attend a training with one of our trainers prior to this event or view Robert Gonzales' DVD,  "The Embodied Spirituality of Nonviolent Communication."

   Finally, we ask that people attending this training have ten or more days of in-person training in Nonviolent Communication with a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication.

  We see this training as helping people transform the way they live NVC – whether at work, at home, contributing to social change, or as a spiritual practice.  We hope that you will join us!
