A 2012 NVCTI WORKSHOP OFFERING:

The Living Energy of Needs

Practical Applications for Everyday Life using Nonviolent Communication
Sunrise Ranch people standing in circle

"The Living Energy of Needs" supports the ongoing development of foundational Nonviolent Communication (NVC) skills and consciousness. In addition to supporting core NVC skills, we have continued to develop our training over the past five years to help participants practically access and live from a deeper dimension of needs. We weave the experience of the living energy of needs throughout the training, as the core dimension from which we learn and live the NVC process. (Overview of training ...)

This 7-day training can be applied towards the minimum of 50 days required as part of the process for Trainer Certification through the Center for Nonviolent Communication. (Note: it does not alone qualify participants for certification).

Three members of our training team have been directly involved with the Center's certification program over the years, including as Assessors, mentors and Certification Coordinator for North America.

WHERE

Sunrise Ranch is a Spiritual Center cradled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. By day the wide-open blue of the Colorado sky stretches overhead; and by night, there is an endless canopy of brilliant stars.

Since 1945, Sunrise has stewarded the land and water as a sustainable ranch and farm. This natural setting—a valley surrounded by red sandstone and pine-covered hills—has been a place of tranquility, reflection and learning.

Throughout Sunrise’s history, individuals and groups have come here to move to a different rhythm, to see their lives and their work with new eyes, and to bring fresh energy to their world.

Sunrise Ranch is known as a place for learning, reflection, and transformation. The programs held here include time for deep stillness and relaxation, and inspired, leading-edge thought and experience. Everything about Sunrise supports this work—the natural setting, wholesome food, and most of all, the resident staff.

Update - February 27, 2012:  We are working with Sunrise Ranch to free up some additional rooms, and we are confident this will happen.  Meanwhile, if your preferred room choice is not available, we offer the following options:

  1. Register for the room choice that is closest to your preference to "lock in" your space at the retreat center.  Email us and ask us to put you on a waiting list for your preferred room type, so we can let you know if it becomes available.
  2. Choose the camping option (this is unlimited!).  One benefit of this option is that you save $119-406 as compared to rooms in the retreat lodge.
  3. Stay in a nearby hotel (La Quinta Inn and Suites is the closest and one that the retreat center recommended). [Note: This would involve driving to/from the retreat center daily, approximately 7 miles each way]
