NVC TRAINING INSTITUTE OFFERS:
THE LIVING ENERGY OF NEEDS
A SEVEN-DAY INTENSIVE

With Robert Gonzales, Susan Skye,
Wes Taylor, Gregg Kendrick and Gina Lawrie

The NVC Training Institute (NVCTI) was established in the year 2000. We came together to meet needs in our global NVC community for the learning of more advanced skills as well as support for trainer development. Over the eight years we have worked together, we have significantly evolved our program. As a result of our growth, we have worked with progressively larger groups. To date we have conducted eighteen trainings for well over 600 people. Our collaboration and the deep acknowledgment and appreciation for this training has been very rewarding.

We are now expanding our Seven-Day Training, “The Living Energy of Needs” to include different tracks of learning for people at different places along the NVC learning continuum.

Beginning in 2008, we will offer a foundations track as well as maintaining our prior focus on intermediate and beyond.

Foundations Track

The foundations track will provide training in the basic skills and consciousness of NVC and will include our particular flavor of living energy as we share the material. If you have less than twenty hours of NVC training, you can now join us and participate in this track.

The intention of this track is to support people who are relatively new to NVC to develop the basic skills to engage in an NVC dialogue: self-empathy, expression & empathy.

Intermediate Track

In the intermediate track, our intention is to support people who have already developed these foundational skills to enhance ease in natural language NVC, in embodying “the living energy of needs” and in deepening & refining skills in all aspects of NVC.

Join “The Living Energy of Needs” to strengthen your NVC skills and deepen your ability to access the consciousness and life enriching energy of needs beyond the simple identification of them.

By differentiating these “tracks of learning” within the Seven-Day Intensive experience, we can provide each person with training that matches a person’s learning needs, thus providing a higher quality experience.

We are also envisioning at some point in the future the possibility of a third track within the Seven-Day Intensive Training, the Trainer Development track, which would be explicitly designed for those who are trainers of NVC or who intend to be. Within the Trainer Development track, each participant will have the opportunity to facilitate or co-facilitate NVC sessions or portions of sessions under the mentorship of NVC Training Institute’s core trainers, receiving feedback & coaching. Additionally, there will be advanced & specialized sessions for these participants.

We look forward to being with you at one of our trainings!

Changes in the NVCTI Training Team

The training team at the NVC Training Institute is changing as it begins to expand its programs. Of the four founding trainers, Susan Skye and Robert Gonzales will continue to be at all Seven-Day “Living Energy of Needs” training events; Wes Taylor will be at two Seven-Day Intensive trainings each year; and Towe Widstrand is scaling back her work and is not scheduled to be at any trainings during 2008.

We have invited several CNVC certified trainers to join us as Associate Trainers at specific Seven-Day Intensive Trainings. These trainers were invited not only because they embrace the NVCTI vision of the “Living Energy of Needs” but each also brings a special expertise in their NVC practice that we want to share with the participants at our trainings.

Gregg Kendrick joined the NVC Training Institute as an Associate Trainer and Organizational Manager in January 2008. Gregg specializes in bringing NVC consciousness into businesses & other organizations, and facilitates an NVCTI-sponsored workshop on “Creating Workplaces Where People Thrive: Successfully Implementing Needs-Based Systemic Change in Businesses and Non-Profits.”  Gina Lawrie joined the NVCTI training team in October 2008 and brings with her the “NVC Dance Floors” that she co-created with Bridget Belgrave. You can read more about each of these trainers on “The Trainers” page.

We also want to recognize Kathy Ziola, an Assistant Trainer on our training team, who will be co-facilitating some sessions, providing coaching to participants, and otherwise supporting participants and trainers during the Seven-Day Intensive Trainings. One area of expertise that Kathy often brings to these trainings is Breath Work.

We are excited to continue the deeply satisfying experience of offering our Living Energy of Needs training and will be exploring how we will structure the training as we move forward. Please check this website as you are choosing which training to take and note which trainers will be present.
